Rev. Jason Woolford is a United States Marine Corps veteran, ordained minister, longtime ministry leader, and Michigan State Representative whose life has been shaped by a commitment to faith, family, service, and the conviction that every life has God-given purpose and value.

Jason came to Christ while serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 1991 to 1994 and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. What began during his years as a Marine ultimately became a lifelong calling to serve God and others.

Following his military service, Jason built a successful career in business, serving in executive sales and marketing positions in California and later becoming a business owner in Michigan. Despite his professional success, he sensed God calling him in a different direction. He pursued theological education, earning a Master of Divinity, and answered the call to full-time ministry.

In 2010, Rev. Woolford was appointed to lead Mission Cry – Christian Resources International, a ministry that has been serving the global Church since 1956. Under his leadership, Mission Cry has distributed over $500 million in donated Bibles and Christian books to more than 181 nations around the world. The ministry equips pastors, missionaries, evangelists, churches, Bible colleges, and believers with free biblical resources, helping put the Word of God into the hands of people who otherwise may not have access to it.

Rev. Woolford’s ministry has also taken him across North America, South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, where he has participated in crusades, trained pastors and ministry leaders, and shared the Gospel. He has appeared on Christian television and other media to speak about faith, biblical values, civic responsibility, and the transformative power of God’s Word.

His commitment to service eventually led him into public office. In November 2024, Jason was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives, representing the 50th District, which encompasses much of Livingston County. He assumed office in January 2025 and serves in House oversight, families, and veterans-related committee assignments, including leadership on an oversight subcommittee focused on state and local assistance programs.

During his first term in the Michigan House, Rep. Woolford was honored as Freshman Lawmaker of the Year, recognizing his leadership and impact as a first-term legislator. He has also received national recognition for his work to uncover and address waste, fraud, and abuse in government.

Whether serving as a Marine, minister, missionary leader, or state representative, Jason has sought to approach each responsibility through the same foundation: faith in God, respect for the dignity of human life, and a desire to serve others.

Jason and his wife, Maria, who has also served our nation in uniform, have been married for more than 30 years and reside in Howell, Michigan. They are the parents of three children and the proud grandparents of six grandchildren.
